(PETERSEN MEDIA)- Saturday night in Calistoga, CA, one of the most unique Dirt Classic events of the season took place as fans were treated to both 360ci and 410ci winged racing action at Calistoga Speedway during Dirt Classic CA, an event benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of St. Helena and Calistoga. When the full night of racing came to a close, it was Dominic Scelzi scoring the 360 Sprint Car Challenge Tour Feature Event win, and DJ Netto picking up with King of the West 410 feature event win.

A total of 46 360’s checked in to the scenic half mile located in the heart of the Napa Valley, and on this night it was all about pole sitter Dominic Scelzi. Getting the jump in the McColloch Motorsports No. 17 entry, Scelzi was untouchable as he led all 30-laps and won by a 1.907 second margin over series point leader Kyle Hirst.

Rico Abreu took the final podium position as Cory Eliason finished fourth, and Mitchell Faccinto rounded out the Top-Five.

While the 360 race went drama free, the 410 race provided a little late race flare. From the front row, it was all about 15-year-old Michael Kofoid. Kofoid looked extremely impressive as he led over local standout, Rico Abreu. The race took a dramatic turn on the 21st lap as Abreu would see his left rear go down getting into turn one forcing the yellow to fly. Under that caution, Kofoid also had a flat tire and was forced into the pit area handing the lead to DJ Netto.

Over the final four laps, Netto would battle a broken shock as he picked up the win over Shane Golobic, Bud Kaeding, Kyle Hirst, and Gio Scelzi.

While the racing was exceptional on this night, the big picture was the money raised for the Boys and Girls Club of St. Helena and Calistoga. During intermission, checks were presented to the foundation with a staggering $250,000 raised.
